What Is the Kenya eTA?
The Kenya eTA is an official digital entry authorization introduced in 2024 that replaces traditional visa requirements for most travelers. It allows eligible visitors to enter Kenya for tourism, business, or medical purposes through a simple online process.
This system streamlines border control while enhancing security and convenience. Travelers no longer need to visit embassies—just apply online, get approved, and receive your eTA by email.
How It Works
- Step 1: Complete the online application on the official eTA portal.
- Step 2: Upload required documents (passport, selfie/photo, accommodation proof, outbound flight, etc.).
- Step 3: Pay the application fee.
- Step 4: Receive your eTA via email within 3 business days (on average).
- Step 5: Present your eTA and passport when boarding and upon arrival in Kenya.
